Volunteers Called to “Pitch In” March 26 At New Greenspace

Posted on

All are invited to the first volunteer workday at the new Community Greenspace in Craftsbury Village on Saturday, March 26th, from 1 to 3 p.m. This is an excellent opportunity to explore the two acre parcel and clean up debris, brush, and litter. You can help make it possible for the site at 321 South Craftsbury Road to open for community use this summer.

Volunteers are encouraged to bring gloves and wear sturdy shoes. Pruners and loppers are helpful, as are hammers and pry bars to remove nails from boards. Volunteers are also welcome to take home free salvaged wood from the house, including trim boards and hardwood flooring.

Light refreshments will be provided for volunteers through the generosity of the Crafsbury General Store. A sunny and mild afternoon is forecast; a perfect day to work outdoors for a worthy cause. Parking is available at 321 South Craftsbury Road, and also at spots in the Village.
